Shane Long is a visionary, entrepreneur, and strategic thinker with over two decades of experience in enterprise software, mobile, semiconductors and SaaS markets working with some of the world’s leading companies. Shane helped pioneer the smartphone industry, having led Bitboys, a semiconductor company that brought the first true graphics processors to the mobile phone. That technology lived on well into the third generation of smartphones.
Known for his financial acumen, as well as his technical and management experience, Shane has worked closely in earlier positions with Venture Capital and Private Equity firms, where he raised multiple rounds of funding, lead an IPO, a secondary public offering, and assisted in the sales of three successful technology companies with one for over $150M.
Shane co-founded and was the CEO for Bitboys Inc., a semiconductor company focused on graphics processors for mobile technology. At Bitboys he directed a talented team of 60+ engineers to develop one of the industry’s first graphical processors for the mobile phone market.
While Shane was the VP of Sales and Marketing for STB Systems, the business grew from $15M to over $300M in the semiconductor and graphics accelerator market.
Previously, he was CEO at Deverus, a SaaS HR technology company, and President and CEO of GSCS Inc., a company named one of the Top 10 fastest-growing companies in North Texas by the Dallas Business Journal and SMU Cox School of Business.
Shane has a BS degree in engineering from Texas A&M University. With both his two sons and daughter also graduates from Texas A&M– the Longs are a true “Aggie Family”. When Shane does take a break, you will most likely find him either deep sea fishing or spending time with his family at sporting and music events.
